    I. WHO WE ARE

    Social Mavericks is the grassroots unit of the Peoples' Impact Platform. We are people with great interest (among others) in community-building, sociology, grassroots activism, (crowd) psychology, (adult) education, and poverty reduction strategies. We collaborate in the Co-Creator Club to come up with all kinds of original solutions that might help Maveriqs rebuild their barrios and their lives.

    The blueprint for building the Peoples' Impact Marketplace is detailed in the book Peoples' Impact, The Final Revolution. To start building we need brainpower, money, and time from people who want to be part of one of the most purposeful adventures in the world.

    III. EMPOWERING PEOPLE

    We strongly believe that the only solution to eradicate gen-poverty over time is to empower the people living in the rough Barrios around the world with adequate resources so that they themselves create more opportunities, economic activities, and a higher quality of life.

    The only way to eradicate gen-poverty is by empowering people to kickstart more economic activities in the barrio in a self-propelling way that keeps on going, going, and going. It is the ultimate impact to achieve: the perpetual loops of social progress.

     

    When done properly Peoples' Impact is a self-propelling system.

    V. PEOPLES' BUSINESS

    Peoples' Impact Marketplace matches the producers with the buyers of Peoples' Impact. Or in other words, we connect the supply-side (the people-side) with the demand-side (the money-side). Social Mavericks is responsible for recruiting and training people from the barrios and turning them from non-producers/non-creators into happy producers of Peoples' Impact.

    V. CO-FOUNDERS & CO-CREATORS

    A conceptual idea detailed in a book is a conceptual idea detailed in a book. It needs to be built in real life to become a perpetual loop of progress. Building it requires brains, hands, and open minds. That is why we are building a diversified group of smart people who [i] improve the theoretical concept (Devils' Advocate Minds); [ii] build the marketplace platform; [iii] run the platform and [iv] scale its reach and impact while creating a competitive, collaborative environment in which everybody feels safe, free and inspired.

    TRUST

    The foundation of our business case is based on long-term (aka lifelong) relationships. On the demand side, we seek multi-year, multi-million dollar agreements. On the supply side, we train people to become life-long changemakers. It is all about trusting each other that we all give it 100% all the time.

    We build a social franchise enterprise that seeks market-level impact. Why? Because we are curious, we dislike mediocre solutions and we love to see whether we can transform dreams into reality. Building a moonshot venture is high-risk. We might be crazy but the adrenaline to Think Big on the edge of the ravine is a special trip. Solution? Building Big is the only way to attack big wicked problems.

    WE ARE NOT FOR EVERYONE

    We are looking for co-founders & co-creators to build a reconnaissance mission that tests the platform concept against the harsh realities of the barrio. The outcome is already clear: constant change of the (flexible) framework. We need people who think only about how to lift the platform to the next levels.   • THE CHALLENGE OF COMPLEXITY

     

    The Social Mavericks Co-founders & Co-Creators working on the supply side (people-side) of the marketplace do many things like selecting & training people who run the local franchise (friendship Deal). They design the Franchise Playbook with templates for barrio events in the barrio to recruit people (Maveriqs) and barrionistas (sympathizers). They analyze all data to decide whether A Friendship Deal will be rolled out and how? They aggregate data for The Barrio 360 Analysis (the Barrio macro strategy). They communicate and coordinate all Barrio stakeholders.

    Bootstrapped moonshot ventures like our alternate periods of rapid progress with periods of excruciatingly slow progress. It is all part of the game. To keep the project going, we sell things. And we encourage you to buy things from us. All the money flows from what we sell is published online for everybody to see.
